White is the new black

Post by missF »

I’m loving white dial watches at the moment. My ultimate one watch would have a white dial. The latest one I have in my sights is white. Surprisingly I only currently have one white dial watch, though the Oris BCPD has a pale non-white dial and I also have the vintage Tissot with a silver dial.

Anyone want to show off their white dial watches? I’m especially interested if anyone has a white and black pair of the same watch

So it's not enough that you've just incited me to buy a white dial "One Watch" and now this? It really is too much...

All my white dials are in the vintage box now.

I used to have white dials among the modern watches but they have been sold on. The only exception is the gold C5, but calling that dial white would be stretching credibility somewhat, as I definitely see it as more of a champagne colour.

White lumed hands against a white dial are a definite turn off for me.

I had a decent collection of white(ish) dials at one stage. Only the Exp II remains.

Well you've been indicted, but I can't produce the evidence for a few days.... 8)

Seems a pity to part with such a quality hoard...

I like a white dial as long as there’s decent contrast against the hands.

My only current one with bonus green lume.

Nice thought to shoot them all together

But then I forgot current attire #-o

I'll have to re-shoot anyway when the newcomer shows up....

For the black and white pairing. Not quite identical watches, but same brand, same size, same case and interchangeable bracelets.

Does a watch that has both a white and a black dial count?

@Bjorn - A white and a black dial on the same watch is the ultimate example of what this thread is about! It's beautiful, and must say a lot about your current mood! I choose white.

Neil - that comparison is great thanks. Exactly what I was hoping to see. I choose white. Will try and formulate why once I've had another good look through all the examples in this thread. There are some lovely watches. The Sinn 104 is a lovely crisp black and white - with all the emphasis on white. H0rati0's CW moon phase is so striking. Richard -- that's a great photo. The geophysic used to be your darling! I didn't realise it had moved on

@Mikkei4 - thanks for the trident comparison. Still choosing white over black! I've got it bad for white dials right now!
