Re: Pics from the walkers
A ridiculously busy period at work was followed by a family holiday to the Blue Mountains - (@Noush) Chris' neighbourhood I believe..
The Blue Mountains National Park is just west of Sydney and offers some great sight-seeing and hiking.

Do you remember if climbing was permitted on the 3 Sisters when you visited Steve?Thermexman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 20, 2021 12:23 pm Ah, the Three Sisters. Been there a few times as a kid.
One of the guys on my wife's side of the family reckons he mounted um, summited the middle sister one summer a few years back!
No climbing permitted these days though.

^^^I lived in Cabramatta from ‘67-‘72 but don’t recall seeing any climbers on our visits. I would imagine that they did back then though? When we visited, the viewing platform was a bit rudimentary if I recall and there were a few dumped cars below it? You could just about see them in the trees below. The wrecked cars are my overriding memory, to be honest.
I don’t recall that bridge over to the first peak though. I guess that wasn’t there back then?

I was walking with my dogs yesterday and these are a few pictures. Can you guess where we were?

A lovely day for flying a Kite!
Quite often it’s not even necessary to leave the house to see one fly just above the rooftop of a neighbouring house. Neil
I do like going out for a walk, looking up at the sky and seeing birds of prey soaring overhead.Quite often it’s not even necessary to leave the house to see one fly just above the rooftop of a neighbouring house. Neil

Ah, that's shameful isn't it..wrecked car bodies at the bottom of a cliff next to an Aussie icon..!?Thermexman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 21, 2021 6:20 pm ^^^I lived in Cabramatta from ‘67-‘72 but don’t recall seeing any climbers on our visits. No.1 son and I hiked over to the bridge to the first sister .... it wasn't super new but not all that old either so I am guessing it wasn't there when you were. The bridge came to a dead end - no way around to the middle sister but there was a good view. (No car bodies that we could see thankfully)
Nearby we passed a set of stairs (so steep they were practically a ladder) down to the valley floor but we didn't attempt them as we were running out of daylight.
