Hope you are having a good time Guy. Are you staying in Bowness?

Every day is a school day. I have been to the Lake District for the past 20 years or so. Never heard of Biskey Howe.

A closer up view of a few of the LPs, some of my favourite mountains. :)

^^^^ Yes, Neil.

Bowness on Windermere. We're staying in a cottage up the hill from the 'High Street' with Biskey Howe above us.

We walked up their this evening on Davie's 'around the block' constitutional.

Got to consider being a 'Walker' today having left the car and taken a boat up Lake Windermere to Ambleside, whereupon we walked up to and around the town.

Went for fishing and caught this HUGE beast after a furious fight. See, it barely fits in the photo, and photo file size is close to 2000 mbytes, it’s HUGE!

Primarily a walking day today, although I used the car to get between places.

We visited Hawkeshead village, with no visitors parking in the village centre but five pubs and various tea/coffee shops & cafes.

. . . .and an intriguing metal sculpture of a Pheasant (?)

Then onwards for a stroll in Woods and on the lakeside of Coniston water.
