I always thought this place looked like a mini Millennium Dome (o2 arena)

A few from my 7.5 mile walk round Norland Moor this morning.

First up are some photos of the Ladstone Rock which legend has it has a dark history. This text is taken from the Calderdale council website...

The Ladstone Rock stands on top of Norland Moor. A lot has been speculated about the rock. It has been said that the rock may be used as a sacrificial point, or that witches were thrown from the rock in the middle ages. This speculation may derive from the name lladd, which is the Celtic word for kill, or cut, so a Ladstone is a kill stone.

And some photos looking out over Ryburn from the moor.

I can't match your Moorland vistas Iain, but walking up the lane out of my Village, with fields either side, towards the Motorway, A1(M), this morning was quite a pleasant view.

Today a walk from home to the local woods.

The early part of the path, before we arrive at the start of our reason for today’s visit.

Ah yes it’s an ideal time of year to visit Bluebell Woods.

The further into the woods we go, the more Bluebells we see. They look to be our native variety, rather than the Spanish or hybrid that have become dominant in some locations.

Time for a coffee stop on our way home.

I can’t claim to have walked far to take this picture - across one room to be exact..

Anyway, here’s a couple of ducks doing the hokey-cokey.
