Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
^^^^ but isn't it potentially skewed, as reported deaths are always lower after a weekend, particularly a Bank Holiday, due to 'lag' in the reporting system.
I read a fairly balanced and objective article on the BBC earlier this evening.

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
It well might be ‘skewed’ but it’s been over a year since we have had no deaths reported, that has to be encouraging.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 12:19 am ^^^^ but isn't it potentially skewed, as reported deaths are always lower after a weekend, particularly a Bank Holiday, due to 'lag' in the reporting system.

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
2nd AZ jab received yesterday
...24 hours later and no ill effects suffered what so ever
Interestingly enough I was told:
...24 hours later and no ill effects suffered what so ever
Interestingly enough I was told:
- I'm now 90-95% immune;
- I should wait at least 3 weeks for everything to take effect/settle down;
- There could potentially be another (3rd) jab in the Autumn (albeit it's under review).

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
Had my 2nd AZ Vaccine on Friday.
Felt a bit strange for 16 hrs, but nothing too bad.

I was invited to have my jabs In the early days of vaccination programme. My relief was not in my protection but in the knowledge that my children and their partners have now all had their first jabs.

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
Got my booster shot today, and I’m not going to lie, it felt almost as good as the initial jab!

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
Yeah I had my booster a week or so back and made sure to book it prior to a Friday so that if I felt any ill affects… it wouldn’t mess my weekend up! Don’t mind having a day or two sick but losing a weekend would be annoying haha
(Luckily no I’ll affects at all so no need to have worried!)

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
I had the Moderna booster yesterday. I felt okay until last night then my arm became sore; I slept fairly well but feel washed out and sort of aching this morning, quite similar to my first jab. If that is any guide I should probably feel better by the end of the day. There are plenty of nice things in the fridge and cupboards – I’m having a duvet day!

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
My wife and I, had our Moderna booster yesterday around 3pm. Our symptoms have pretty much mirrored yours Steve. By the time we went to bed last night, both of us had sore arms, and my wife had the chills. This morning I feel just a little off, like very mild flu like symptoms. My wife is a little worse as she is feeling pretty crappy and woke up with a 100.8 temperature whereas my temperature is normal. This is almost exactly what happened to us on our first Moderna shot. My wife fared a little worse than me on that one as well. If it stays the same as our first shot, we should both be feeling a lot better by the time we go to bed tonight. Interestingly we both felt fine after our second Moderna shot, except for having a sore arm at the injection site.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 9:29 am I had the Moderna booster yesterday. Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
It seems to be a fairly common reaction, Malcolm. Certainly a number of my friends have experienced similar. My first two injections were AstraZeneca, and after the second one I had nothing really except soreness at the injection site. The first one left me feeling a little rough for a day or so, as this one has. Another early night and I will hopefully be much better tomorrow.

Re: Coronavirus Vaccine.
I'm due mine when I clear the virus I currently have, 1st 2 were Astra but this will be either Pfizer or Moderna. Any thoughts which is preferable if I have a choice (can go to different locations)?

I had AZ for first and second jabs. Had a Pfizer booster with no ill effects other than a bit of arm soreness for an evening.
