Maybe it was relief, but it's uncommon to hear positive side effects.

I had my first Astra Zeneca jab on Wednesday morning, and felt OK at first. But I went to bed shivering and could not get warm, and spent a restless few hours feeling sorry for myself. I had a rather amusing, feverish dream where I was on a Teams call with everyone at work, including the CEO, and told them exactly what I thought of the stupid, corporate objectives - “I will delight my customers”. I am not even in a customer facing role. I took a couple of paracetamol and felt much better by morning.

I understand a reaction like this is quite normal - and is a good sign that your immune system is working.

So I had my AZ Oxford vaccine yesterday afternoon.
Felt fine afterwards but just before going to bed late last night I felt a little shivery so wrapped myself up in jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt and slept well.
This morning I woke up not feeling great - best way to describe it would be...
Like I'd been out on the town last night drinking and dancing thus waking up this morning with a headache and aching.
Having said that, it's mid-morning now and I'm definitely beginning to feel a lot brighter.

Pretty much my expereince, Nigel. I had mine a week ago Saturday. Sunday was a definite duvet day, with a short walk. I was fine by Monday, with just a sore arm until about Thursday.

Interesting how experiences vary, especially when you look at the extreme side effects for some reported by the BBC. That said, the people who I know to have been vaccinated have had very mild side effects.

For my part, I had the jab yesterday mid afternoon, slept well but just feel dopey today. No other side effects yet.....

I've just had my twice weekly date with Lateral Flo. I find her really testy - almost makes me retch and gets right up my nose. Always really negative.
I'm looking forward to the day when I can end our relationship.

Received my second Pfizer shot yesterday lunchtime. A slight tenderness in my arm but otherwise no issues.

Very grateful to the people who developed, tested, produced, distributed and deployed these vaccines.

I imagine that’s a HUGE sense of relief! I was more happy for my parents getting vaccinated than for myself.
