School reopened for a whole day for a big old super-spread.

I can freely enter a stranger's property and fix a light bulb for work, but I can't pop round my Elderly Mums for a cuppa !

I really hate it when people go nose into car parking spaces, and then take ages reversing out scrubbing the bumper on my car in their incompetence, then just driving off

The worse thing about Covid has been its impact on my job. School has been virtual since March, and I’ve come to loathe it. It’s not the virtual teaching itself I’ve come to loathe. It’s how virtual teaching has exposed in such a glaring way how broken our system is and how blind people are to the real problems.

I’ve lost faith in my students, in my coworkers, and in my administration.

I despise feeling this way about something I’ve devoted my entire adult life to, that I’ve derived so much pleasure from, and that has been such a passion.

What’s the deal, FedEx!

My package originated in Lorton, VA - 15 minutes away from me. From Lorton to a sorting facility in Hagerstown, MD - about two hours from both me and Lorton. OK, this I understand, as it needs to get sorted I guess. But then from Hagerstown to Martinsburg, WV?!? Another sorting facility?

My package is in Martinsburg at the moment, a good two+ hours from me, but FedEx is still saying it’s going to be delivered today. It’s not even out for delivery yet.

OK FedEx....I’m watching you!

having to stagger 4 staff members start times but having to work an extra hour each day myself to do this...all the while I am the point of contact for all staff members, so if one of them gets Covid in turn giving it me...in turn I give it all the others..... am I missing something?

Oh an no extra pay for having to do 6 extra hours a week until told otherwise....

Forum posts on topics that clearly should go to CW customer service for resolution...the forum, nor its moderators, cannot resolve these people, only CW can!!

F***ing toilets! I have four in my house, and there is always...ALWAYS...one acting up and giving me problems!

On a related note, my wife gave me a bidet attachment for Christmas this year. “You spend enough time in there. It seemed like a perfect gift.” I love this woman! Wasn’t able to connect it up though.

Andrew...you're not alone!
Toilet_003.JPG
The flusher decided to pack up on my downstairs toilet.
So I started to take a look.
Popped down our local DIY store to get a replacement unit - that didn't fit!
(Had to take it back for a refund)
Thought that I would continue with the disassembly.
It was so gunked up in there that I had to cut through the lever with the handle on.
Trying to remove things was challenging - sooo much rubber silicone muck everywhere.
Then, to top if off, one of the captive bolts and wing nuts holding the cistern on was rusted to buggery and spinning round.
Ended up using a dremel to cut through the wing nut and prise it off.
Eventually got the cistern off to find the underneath was trash.
So, it's going to have to be a new close-coupled toilet.
...but just looking around online it isn't going to be straight forward due to different units having different outlets.
AAAAAAAAAAArrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhh!

State your gripe or ask your question only..don’t answer anyones’s and you will not get an answer. Just a place to vent a bit.
Gentle reminder, folks. This ain't a discussion thread. If you want to discuss a topic, please start a thread in "off-topic".

BT are dropping Eurosport from their sports package. No more cycling. I might be forced into the arms of sky. I could cancel BT sport, and get a Eurosport pass.

My memory's going. I searched for the non curmudgeons corner to make a post, and promptly forgot what I was going to say.

Gotta love a parent who’s bothered enough by something in class to go straight to my administrator but not quite bothered enough to to respond to my voice mail or my email that I then sent to her immediately after my administrator contacted me. I see how it is.

This is why I try to keep my contact with parents to a minimum.

25 degrees out. Power company gives 15 minute notice they are doing work nearby and power will be out for 3 hours.

Better than no notice I suppose.

Cranking up the heat now.
