If LH wins #8, he may still be curious to see how he goes with the rule changes for 2022. Possilbly LH/GR for 2022 with VB out?

Alternatively it might be as you say.

I think Lewis will stop either way at the end of '21 - from the snippets of info I've read his salary demands, road car requests (AMG One) and perceived value maybe at that tipping point for Merc, Toto and Ineos.

George Russell is younger, talented, fast and significantly cheaper.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

I reckon Lewis more than pays for himself with sponsorship - it's rumoured the latest deal even includes space on his overalls/helmet for personal sponsors.

It wouldn't surprise me to see George being team mates to Max in a Merc, especially with the engine shenanigans @ Red Bull.

I reckon Bottas and Russell will do the switch for 22. Lewis will spend a year mentoring George then retire. Max will then sniff around that second seat for 23!

How I'll remember Murray Walker.

"There's nothing wrong with the car except it's on fire"

"With half the race gone there is half the race to go"

"I imagine the conditions in those cars are totally unimaginable"

"Either that car is stationary or it's on the move"

"Do my eyes deceive me or is Senna's car sounding a bit rough?"

"And the first five places are filled with five different cars"

"And this is the third-placed car about to lap the second-placed car"

"The battle is well and truly on if it wasn't on before, and it certainly was"

"Two laps to go, then the action will begin. Unless this is the action, which it is"

"I'm going for first" (Explaining away a British Touring car driver putting up his middle finger)

Murray: "There's a firey glow coming from the back of the Ferrari!" - James Hunt: "No Murray, that's his rear safety light"

"Let's watch this typical Formula Ford start!" (instead they promptly all ran into each other)

"It's a sad ending, albeit a happy one, here at Montreal for today's Grand Prix"

"Andrea de Cesaris, the man who has won more grand prix than anyone else without actually winning one"

"Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!"

"And now excuse me while I interrupt myself!"

"The young Ralf Schumacher has been upstaged by teenager Jenson Button, who is 20"
"It would have been Senna's third win in a row if he'd won the two before"

"I'm ready to stop my start watch"
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

"Well, Nigel (Mansell). What's that bump on your forehead?" - promptly pokes the bump.

Murray Walker. Gone, but never forgotten. He was 'The Voice of Formula One'.

His commentary style was infectious and enthusiastic. Even when there was nowt much happening in a race he would make it sound exciting. If it was exciting, we jolly well got to hear about it.

His autobiography, published maybe 15 years ago, is one of the few books that I have read.

He was a legend in his own lifetime . . .
.
. . .he is a legend now.

God bless and RIP. [-o< [-o<
