Spectacular as always Korkki, interesting to see the controls are on left of your boat, most in uk seem on right. Guess its just a personal preference rather than a throw over from LHD/RHD driving side on road. :D
I've also left bait at home on a fishing trip in past but we had driven 2 hrs to coastal mark for a night session so resorted to fish and chips, mug of tea in a local cafe and a leisurely drive home.🙄
Cheers

I do not have a remote on this boat, and I'm steering and throttling with a tiller using my left hand, and therefore always leaning to left a bit. In that sense I am preferring the navi & fish finder on the port side. Transducer on a transducer arm is next to it. On the dry-box on the starboard side I am having all the accessories (= cigarettes....) and in the under-seat "worm boxes" all the odd bits and bobs.

I'm always having artificial worms as a backup on my boat but after trying a hour or so with those and without a bite I called it and returned back to home. It seems fishes do not like plastic...

Edit: oh, I managed to catch a "fish" today - a new toy for wet activities :D

Of course you can

I do have a delightful cottage for you to rent for a small amount of money. Seaside views, spacious interior, idyllic and romantic.
But hopefully you are not a dog owner.

Kiter65, it might be a bit snug with both of us in Korkkis 'cottage' I am quite tall and the fishing gear might take up some space 😁😆😅

I was out in the car yesterday, and ended up doing a round robin drive taking in the Honister and Kirkstone passes.

A car day yesterday, doing a figure of eight route, starting with breakfast in Grasmere then off via Coniston round and up to, probably, the most tortuous of the passes in the Lake District; Hard Knott and Wrynose.

Very grateful for my Yeti being automatic and 4WD.

Great views and challenging roads Guy. Also some great starting points for some fell walks.
Did you stop at Hardknott Fort?

Sadly no. We drove on through.

We did manage a coffee at the Boot Station café of the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway though.

When I first looked at the photograph I thought it must have been staged as there were so many things wrong.

Talk about a picture being better than a thousand words.

That's an appalling bit of riding.

You can pay for a tour these days, back in the early 80's anyone brave (or stupid) enough could wander freely around the mine (and many others too :D). It was actually almost possible to climb the mountain from the inside. The tracks for the mine railway were still in place - even found a working slate truck. And after one visit, thumbed a lift into Keswick from a guy who had worked in the mine which enhanced the experience.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

On the plus side, at least he used his indicator and did a shoulder check before he went for it. But yeah, not good. Fortunately, he got away with it and I think it was a “learning experience”.
