Cycled to a well known home hardware superstore to pick up some bits, this fellow went for some wood trim but traveled in a little more style...

Lovely ride out this morning to Lake Vyrnwy and across the mountain pass. Hardly saw any traffic on the minor roads. Bliss.

I'm not a bike guy and have never owned a motorbike however one of my friends is really into them and has 4 currently, two Yamahas and two Triumphs. His latest acquisition is one of these, a Triumph Rocket III Touring, I couldn't believe the size of the thing when I saw it, weighs 400kg and has a 2.3 litre engine, yikes! I think it's Triumph's alternative to a Harley Davidson.

Aptly named. A friend of mine has one very close to this, and it is an absolute beast.
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

Similar to the Belvedere at Claremont NT. Is that another Capability Brown NT Garden?

Morning KCM

Alfred's Tower https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Alfred%27s_Tower is on the Stourhead Estate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stourhead

It's about 10 miles from my home and I thoroughly enjoy cycling to and around the surrounding countryside.

The gardens were designed in the mid 18th Century by it's owner Henry Hoare II in conjunction with Henry Flitcroft who was responsible for the dam and garden structures.

Morning Scooter, and thanks. Interesting stuff.

Stourhead is very nice. I've been there a couple of times and is incredible especially with the changing of the seasons in to autumn. The colours are stunning.

The Monkey overlooking Chesil Beach.

I rode through Yeovil, Beaminster, West Bay, Dorchester and Sherborne on a 123 miler.
