Slightly dodgy weather today, heading north east past Hadrian’s Wall, some light off roading in Keilder forest and up to the border…

Not quite in the same league as downer's northern trip.
Nunney Castle is only 3 miles away from home.

I always find that drive across the border on the A68 quite spectacular as it climbs, twists and falls its way through the hills.

Back over to Dumfries and Galloway yesterday afternoon, with some spectacular roads between Selkirk, Moffat, Biggar and an overnight stop in New Galloway. No pics though…
This morning, back into England and around the Solway and north coast to Maryport
Then across the lakes via Honister pass and down into Yorkshire for a final night in Ingleton. Tomorrow a bit of Buttertubs and then winding our way home. Hopefully, we will remember to take a couple more pictures…

^^^^ That's a fair old route Richard.
Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, although looking at the weather forecast / rainfall radar today, it looks like things were pretty foul for you, especially this afternoon.
I hope tomorrow is better for you.

Thanks Guy. Thursday PM weather was excellent (min 19c and sunny). It rained in the evening but I only saw it through the pub windows.
Today, however, it is pouring down and the forecast suggests it is unlikely to ease. With that in mind, we may well give the high route a miss - as, without visibility there is not much point.

^^^^ Glad that Thursday pm was ok.
I'm aware of the problem for today, as I'm driving up to the Lake District and it looks like it will be wet, wet, wet all the way.
Stay safe (I'm sure you will).

Kind of. I was planning to go out and stay up fishing up until early morning. But I forgot to take the baits with me

Spectacular as always Korkki, interesting to see the controls are on left of your boat, most in uk seem on right. Guess its just a personal preference rather than a throw over from LHD/RHD driving side on road.
I've also left bait at home on a fishing trip in past but we had driven 2 hrs to coastal mark for a night session so resorted to fish and chips, mug of tea in a local cafe and a leisurely drive home.
