Do you prefer going out on the ebike or the Monkey, scooter? I guess on the ebike you maybe take more of the surroundings in, going a bit slower and not being in a full motorbike lid, compared to the Monkey.

Patrick
I enjoy them both for some similar and different reasons.
Bimbling along at 40-50 mph on The Monkey can be very enjoyable on B and unclassified roads and I often pull over if I see something interesting.
On The Focus I have to put more effort in but again am forever stopping to check out the surroundings.
When I feel like a bit of excitement I take The Monkey on fast A roads and the occasional trip on the A303. It can be breathtaking watching large lorries from my mirrors hunting me down and trying to send me sidewards as they pass within a whisker of me. That can happen on A roads on The Focus of course but that's generally just the BMWs and Audis.
If I'm frank I love them both and often do a ride on both during the course of the day.
Thanks for your interest.

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride
Thanks for the reply, I just wondered how they compared, having never ridden a motorbike, or an e-bike for that matter.
My choices are two legs (I do enjoy a decent walk), my pedal bike, or car (a BMW but I definitely don't try to mow down (motor) cyclists!).
I think e-bikes are a great invention and might consider getting one in the future, they give a lot more freedom to go further/steeper/longer than the humble pedal bike. a friend has both and often takes the e-bike for long rides in the Pentlands (a range of hills on the southern edge of Edinburgh) which would just be impossible on a push bike, unless you were Bradley Wiggins.

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride
Out on The Focus this morning for a 27 miler which took me through Longleat.
Taking a rest at Maiden Bradley.
In the evening I had a 75 mile ride on The Monkey through Salisbury, Shaftesbury and East Knoyle.
This photograph is at Clouds House where the rich and famous go to sort out their drug/alcohol addictions. I understand that some 'celebrities' have been seen in the local pub taken additional medication.

A slightly green lane experience this morning on the Scrambler:
I've owned this one almost a year now, and enjoyed every mile - even though it's been used a lot less than my GS.

^^^ Thanks, scooter. I saw one of the "Steve McQueen" specials the other day. Dodgy branding (imo) but that is a lovely paint job...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride
One sweet ride! I have a buddy, who three years ago to celebrate turning 60, rode his new Triumph Tiger from northern Minnesota to Fairbanks AK. Put on a bit more aggressive tire and continued on to Prudoe Bay and Deadhorse AK (find it on Google maps). The trip of a lifetime! The bike performed flawlessly. Wish I could have been with but it just wasn't in the cards at that time. Enjoy!
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

10 hours later and we’ve finally arrived on Cape. Looking forward to a relaxing week…and a drink! But that’s for another thread.
