Re: What are you drinking right now....?
Celebrating my 4th anniversary this weekend.
Started with absinthe with the new absinthe dripper I bought because why not? It was delightful, very refreshing.
Then a cheese course, followed by what has become our tradition - French onion soup. Enjoyed a white Burgundy with it.
We’ll finish the evening with creme brûlée.
And I get as excited and giddy when I see my wife now as I did when I first met her 7 years ago!

It’s a brewery in Bend, OR that I’ve come to love since I’m in an area where they distribute to now. Sounds like an odd ale, but it’s really good. The veggie taste of cucumber mixes great with the sweet/sour taste of the typical sour ale. All of their beers are good if you come across them.

Having an Old fashioned at 5:22. Why 5:22? After my grandparents retired they and all their friends moved to the same place. Everyday they’d gather at someone’s house at 5:22 for afternoon cocktails. They called it 5:22 because back when they were all working, a number of the husbands would catch the 522 train out of the city after work. On Fridays they’d board the train, head straight to the bar car and be lit by the time they got to the station! And they continued this tradition until the end. I’m trying to keep the spirit of 5:22 alive, one drink at a time.

I rarely venture to this part of the forum, what a mistake. There is some great inspiration, some superb looking beverages and as always, some lovely people making some lovely comments.
My daughter bought me this a while ago, I have been plucking up the courage to drink it. Worryingly quaffable !

If any inmates happen to be Coeliac or gluten free this brewery do a huge range and most of them are superb.

No wonder they call it 'Double IPA'; I'd be worried too trying to drink it.Andyshall wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 5:18 pm I rarely venture to this part of the forum, what a mistake. LOL! I was thinking the same. That’s a boozy IPA right there.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:No wonder they call it 'Double IPA'; I'd be worried too trying to drink it.Andyshall wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 5:18 pm I rarely venture to this part of the forum, what a mistake.
