Outstanding way to celebrate!

Thanks, I think it is too. And it’s a great excuse to have a drink!

What do you reckon to it Ferg?

The Trivento Malbec is a staple purchase of mine from Sainsbury's and very drinkable without having to spend a fortune.

Found at the back of the rack. Sometimes there are advantages in no longer bothering with a spreadsheet of what is lurking around. :)

I do like a Riesling and would be interested in your thoughts on this, although finding a 1998 more might not be straightforward...

Trimbach is my favourite Alsace winery and they produce a range at different price points, all with different ageing potential. For the Riesling wines that they produce that would typically vary from 5, 10, 20 years, or occasionally more.

I really like the style. The one we had last night was dry and had mineral notes. To me a different style to a typical German Riesling or most from the New World.

Because of the small quantities made, there is likely to be little of the older stuff kicking around.
