Snowdrops!
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Got my first vaccination yesterday, it’s a great feeling.

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
Today was the first day of hybrid learning with kids in the classroom. While I didn’t have very many kids in the room, it still felt great to be teaching from the front of a classroom. Not gonna lie, I got a bit emotional!I forgot how great it is to actually have kids in the room and how important the energy you get from those kids is!

It’s not every day you come across a movie review in The New York Times written by a former student, but it’s pretty awesome when you do!

Wow. Where I live they had two 2-week spans last fall with remote learning. The rest has been business as usual. It’s hard to figure out why we’ve had such drastic differences in approach.jkbarnes wrote:Today was the first day of hybrid learning with kids in the classroom. ^^ yep, the purple is crocuses. This is on the meadows in Edinburgh where there are swathes of spring flowers every year. From snowdrops through to cherry blossom

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
It’s amazing I can remember all of the flowers from my mom’s gardens. She still lives in the house I grew up in. She has three gardens around the house totaling probably an acre, with trails and benches. I seriously doubt there’s a better wildflower garden in Kentucky.missF wrote:^^ yep, the purple is crocuses. Gardens are the only places I can truly relax. Not sure why. I like being surrounded, and silent.

Re: The Non-Curmudgeons Corner
Had a laugh once when was a shed load younger than today. Me and a mate went on the raz, were very drunk, and I thought it would be a great idea to pick a few daffs for my mates mum who always gave us a hangover beating breakfast when we had been out. So i picked an arm full, got back to his mum's house and thoughtfully put them in the kitchen sink with some water.
the following morning I woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, beans etc... and my mates mum bringing me a cup of tea, she asked
"What clown dumped all those dead flowers in my sink?"
In my drunken haze I'd picked all the dead ones from the side of the road HAHA !!

^^^ Your mate’s mum sounds like a candidate for sainthood.
