Those “Sud’s” are really interesting and super rare over here in the states. I’ve never seen one in person, in fact. Pretty cool.

Here’s what an unrestored 70’s Alfa would look like in the UK. Our climate and salted winter roads are classic car killers!

Yes, now run in and raring to go.
Very mechanical feeling, low gearing, pretty much always on boost and drives in the wet like the roads are dry.
I've never driven something with so much grip.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Re: What Car do you drive??
Nice - very much the car of the moment.
Mine turned 7 this weekend so a gratuitous photo. Now have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on all round which seem to be as good as the previous Supersports in the wet and warm dry days, but 3 million times the grip when temps get low. Which is awesome.

Re: What Car do you drive??
Thanks @mik
Yes, something about it felt right when I ordered it in November - unlikely we'll see too many cars like this in the future without electrification, although a GR Corolla is likely to appear late next year with the same running gear. That it's had almost unanimous press coverage since and that they continue to sell for 'overs' is crazy.
Appreciate it's not for everyone, but I'm happy to have snagged one when I did - and soon to have a 10 year warranty.

Have you kept the Mountune Fiesta Jon for SWMBO, or is this an upgrade?
Is the TC constantly flashing with 330bhp? I'm sure it's a hoot in the right conditions.

Re: What Car do you drive??
We traded her Fiesta for the Focus - the former just wasn't practical for the occasions the baby car seat needs to go in! Plus the Focus also has the benefit of adaptive cruise control and a heads up display to make the more mundane journeys easier.what-time-is-it wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 1:02 pmHave you kept the Mountune Fiesta Jon for SWMBO, or is this an upgrade?

The Focus is surprisingly well behaved with full throttle. If anything, the Fiesta had more torque steer - maybe due to the smaller chassis? Third gear is now another dimension though - I think the software just has the air and fuel taps wide open. If you lift off from full throttle it sounds like an old Cosworth on overrun. A hoot indeed!

That is the fate of many an Alfa over here as well. Not sure how this one survived so well. It spent most of it’s time in southern Italy and a couple years in The Netherlands before being imported to the states in 2017. We don’t salt our roads here in Oregon and it’s garaged so hopefully it’ll be good for another fifty!

Was a Nissan Maxima until last year when bought a new Ford Ranger Lariat. Couldn’t pass up 0% interest.
