I realise that i am probably the only person on the entire forum who would even consider doing so,but i have. Not that it isn't a lot of watch for the money ('cause it is) but for the reasons i initially expressed reservations about when it was in the pipeline ie
village wrote:I am a bit disappointed i'm afraid.....i still think having Forum Limited edition on the face imbalances it. I still don't see why it needs it....the owner knows what it is,the rest of the CW afficianados know what it is, and the average man in the street won't care what it is. The heavy bordering around the day & date also imbalances the face imho...it draws your eyed to the day/date rather than the face as a whole.
The final result just doesn't do it for me-at the moment there's no little voice in my head saying 'buy it,buy it,buy it'

All a bit bah-humbug i know,sorry.

So at least i'm consistent, and there is no point whatsoever of it languishing in its box and not getting worn.

That also means that #39 will be available should anyone want it.

So what will CW do regarding selling #39 on as it is surely classed as second hand?

Chris, having read your 'early' comment, I'm suprised you actually went ahead and bought it?!!

But if it's not right, it's not right, and no point hanging on to it!!

Blimey! As you say you are probably in a minority of one in returning it. However you are not alone in not being keen, as I have not considered buying it, it's nice enough but just not for me.

To be fair to Village, I wasn't bowled over by the C2 FLE when I first received it. I thought it looked a bit cheap due to the drilled bezel, quality & lack of weight in the bracelet.

However, I wore it for a few days over Christmas and fell in love again with its design especially the white face. It really stands out in my collection and looks good with suits I wear to work. So much so it has bumped my Zenith and Omega as dress watch of choice when wearing a blue suit.

If it ain't bad enough having to co-ordinate watch strap, belt & shoes, do we now have to match watch face / hands with colour of suit....

If we all like the same thing then someone would only ever have to produce 1 watch style and we would all be happy. Where is the fun in that?
