LE 2010

Post by seaclose »

Right so we've all got our LE 2009s, so what's to look forward to in the watch world.

I am thinking of buying a C40 but before I do, is there any chance of a LE 2010 and what would be the interest in it being based on a C40.

An LE 2010 is certainly a possibility, but please be patient while we wrap up the LE 2009 activities...

It's good to dream and to look forward to things to come... particularly appropriate at the end of the year I would say.

Its also interesting that there are already several different ideas floating around for the next LE, a C40 based LE would be pushing the cost up. From my perspective although I quite fancy a C40 its somehow a bit too "bling" for want of a better term at this moment, so an LE based on that might turn up something that more immediately pressed my buttons.

Then again, I've already said I like the idea of a Roman Numeral C1 based LE as suggested on another thread....

Must remember to buy a lotto ticket sometime!

A LE based on the Wagner W1 or Stowa design would be tempting, as would a C40 LE. :)

Whoa.....Not yet! :( Hopefully next week.

I also agree with Hans. Always a possibility for 2010, but lets get this one cleared up first.

Take this Rotary, ditch the chrono, put in an auto movement and you can put me down for one now.

Can't see it being the C40, I'd say that was already a flagship watch for CWL and doesn't need LE'ing. Better to take a quartz and stick and auto in it. Plus I thought we had all agreed it was going to be one of these

Hmmm, rather go with Vega than Lamppo this time...

I don't doubt the C40 is the flagship of the CW range, but there has been a fair bit of comment on here about improving it. I guess from a commercial perspective it is probably a better move to "upgrade" a quartz though.
Whatever happens it will be interesting to be party to the development on the forum this year.

I hear rumours of a power reserve model as well as a GMT one.

Let's just wait & see?
