Actually, I am really a fan of this design, been longing for an auto C2 for some time... The colour blue makes it even better, as for the text, quite frankly I think this last poll is one too much. As for design by commitee, all I can say is, camels are slow and clumsy. Neither characteristic goes well with a watch...Tooks wrote:So, where are all the people who like it?!
Is it just the people who don't like it who are compelled to post?
I presume, not having been aware of CW watches when the last Forum LE's were created, that the final design always divides opinion?
I guess there will never be a watch that everybody likes...
Personally, I don't like the blue around the day/date wheel, but then I'm reading that the overall design is not up for discussion, only the dial texts. On that basis, I'm willing to forgive it, as realistically we can't all customise the final design. That would be 'design by committee' and would take forever and there would still be people who don't get what they like.
They're just my thoughts on the matter, but in light of the above I can see why some 'executive design decisions' have had to be made by Kip/Joe etc to even make the watch happen.

I really like the design of this watch and I will buy one whatever it says on the dial and whatever the text colour.
However, when someone offers a choice or starts a debate, I can't help but have an opinion

Hi Downer,
Sorry if I came across a bit defensive in my last post, I didn't mean to!
No, opinions are just fine, and I wasn't trying to stop anybody having one or posting them, just trying to get some positive comments in the discussion as well
This will be the first time I've had the opportunity to buy a CW Forum LE, so I'm quite excited by it.

Re: 2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)
I voted for the blue, but then I would have voted for red if it were an option.
I think the watch looks great, but would prefer to bin the Forum 2009 reference at least on the face of the watch.
I believe the forum reference is unnecessary, those who are part of it know what it is, others couldn't care less.

No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Re: 2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)
I really like this watch and I voted for the blue text. I also would like the 2009 forum text removing and just leaving the Limited Edition and Automatic text on the bottom of the dial. Anyone who has contribuated to the choices made to the end product is likely to know it is the 2009 forum limited edition.
I am away on holiday when the poll closes and won't be back for another week after that, is it possible to secure one in advance??

Blue text, gets my vote.
As soon as you remove the "2009 Forum" print from it, the face becomes perfectly balanced imho.

Have to agree with this. Is it an option?abently wrote: As soon as you remove the "2009 Forum" print from it, the face becomes perfectly balanced imho.

Re: 2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)
I have to agree with the previous post, losing the 2009 Forum really helps the overall design.
Having been involved in the past with projects in my own industry where "design by committe" has become an issue I couldn't agree more with Tooks that decisions have to be made that will not always satisfy everyone, but as we are at a stage where the lettering could be changed I wonder, if there is a big enough consensus, that the Forum 2009 could be removed?
Either way I have really enjoyed watching this watch evolve and look forward to putting my name down for one asap...

Re: 2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)
As a compromise to my early suggestions the removal of the words 2009 Forum is a definite 'improvement'.
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....
Re: 2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)
Agree. Removal of the '2009 Forum' males the dial look alot more balanced.
Also how about removing the blue outline around the date?
When can I reserve this watch with our own serial numbers? Too me the watch looks lovely and I know with the quality produced by CW its going to be a cracker of a watch.
