2009 Forum LE Poll : Dial Text (Final Poll)

Post by joerattz »

The time has come for the final poll. This one is for the dial text. We only have two options. The text is actually the same and the only difference is the color of the words "Limited Edition".

Option 1

This option has blue text for "Limited Edition". This is a specific color meant to compliment the blue color of the hands and markers.

Option 2

This option has black text for "Limited Edition".

Is it possible to have a third option?

No text on the dial (cause i think its starting to look too cluttered) with the LE details engraved on the case back?

Nice, that sound like a good choice!

I went for blue text, but only because I couldn't vote for Village's idea.

I like it better the way it is now. I chose black but I like the blue as well.

Assuming this has an exhibition back, I can imagine that the back would also become cluttered?

I agree the dial needs to be clean, so how about a compromise:

"Limited Edition" on the Dial

"Forum" reference on the case back

Although, I imagine this would increase the cost.... so maybe no "forum" reference anywhere....

BTW I voted for blue :D

I was assuming that it didn't have an exhibition back.....however,if it does do we really need stainless steel/waterproof/etc engraved around the rim of the back? How about,in this case, only having Forum LE 2009 engraved....nothing else.
If it doesn't have an exhibition back then Robert's your father's brother.

By the way, while i think about it,was my suggestion in another earlier thread regarding using the CW logo on the central end of the second hand a complete no go? Perhaps keeping the face almost 'sterile' for want of a better term so that the only indication that it is a CW watch would be the logo on the seconds hand. (or failing that just the CW logo on the face)...Then the back just engraved "Christopher Ward Forum LE 2009"
With apologies to Tooks for nicking and messing with his picture...I would try and put a logo on the end of the second hand without it looking rubbish but i am a bit heavy handed with this sort of thing.

I voted for blue but I too would like to see the face as uncluttered as possible. I quite like just the CW logo on the front (in blue perhaps?)

I voted for the blue limited edition text, so seems I'm in the majority camp at the moment!

Although I can't take credit for the design (much as I would like to! :)), I quite like all the text on the dial, but then I don't like watches too sterile.

Without text, it would just look like a std C2 to me.

I voted for the black text, but agree a less cluttered dial would be better for me. Again thanks to Tooks for all his hard work.

I chose blue.

Are we able to leave Limited edition on the dial but put the 2009 Forum on the back of the watch?
