Poll : Movement/Open Heart
It is now time to vote for your choice for the movement and open heart.
We have had a realization, a setback (maybe not depending on your preference), and a breakthrough.
1. We now realize that we can't have an open heart and have a date. The date wheel would show through the dial opening. Therefore, on the open heart option, the date has been sacrificed.
2. We have now been told that we can have an ETA 2836-2 with day/date. There is no option for an open heart with this movement. Yes, I can hear some of you rejoicing from the rafters over this.
Here are your options:
1. ETA 2824-2 (No date) With open heart
2. ETA 2824-2 (Date only) Without open heart
3. ETA 2836-2 (Day/date) Without open heart
Please notice that only option #3 has the ETA 2836-2 with day and date.
I have seen some people ask, so I'll reiterate that all options will include an exhibition back.
Chris has estimated the price of the LE as "for leather about 270-280 GBP incl vat". I would anticipate it to possibly run ~300 GBP.
Remember, we are not yet specifying dial text/color or the shade of blue for the hands and markers, nor are we specifying a strap or bracelet at this point.

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
Well, I seemed to have found myself here first and my vote was an easy one to cast...day/date no open heart. This, along with the white face I have also just voted for is looking like a very appealing watch to own.....

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
Looks like we are getting an overwhelming consensus (along with the white face option) here!
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
I actually prefer the silver face, but there's not much in it. Whatever the colour, as long as there's not a hole in the face, I'll be in for no 16......
Cheers,
Adam.

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
I don't understand the strong desire by so many people to see the day of the week on their watch.
I've never blanked out on the day of the week, even after a heavy night of partying. Maybe some people would also appreciate a reminder of the month and year on their wrist?
To me, the day of the week on a watch is like velcro on shoes...

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
I see where your coming from and to be honest, the only reason I voted for it is that it still looks good and I don't have a watch with the day on it already....

Re: Poll : Movement/Open Heart
I really would have appreciated the opportunity to follow up the below post, but alas I assume I will have to leave it for some other time...
abently wrote:Tooks or Kip, if you guys really want to make an effort with the open-heart version, you are going to have to play around with the open section design like this >
From the pictures you have posted, it looks like the mechanics have the right blend of colours to really hit it off against the white dial, but you really need to show some creativity/or just trial and error different open sections till you see something that really looks the goods. It definately has the potential, even I can see that.
If you want maybe instead, put up both images, one of the mechanics and the other of the dial so that if anyone is as keen as me, we will play around with it over the next couple of days and see if we can make something happen.

Late comment - but been away on business for a few days.
Great to see that the day/date option is now a reality.
That's secured my vote.
(Oh and a white face and bracelet)
