Does anyone remember a motoring program that used to be on BBC, called TopGear? Do you remember the 'Cool Wall' where the presenters used to discuss and place cars on the wall, and position whether they were un-cool, cool etc:
I was thinking if the forum could facilitate something similar somehow, where we could post so a specific section 'CWF Cool Wall' on the forum, post some text or pictures of something you want an opinion on, mainly watches I guess, and add a simple POLL question Cool or Un-Cool. There could be some benefit to CWL in market research?
What do you think, Cool or Un-Cool?

We've tried it before in the past but unfortunately it was not a great success:

Re: CWF Cool Wall
Appreciate the idea but even Top Gear dropped the Cool Wall.
As an alternative, there are a couple of threads around at the moment, which have been going for a while, that IMHO provide a suitable alternative;-
The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread - http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... =8&t=28774
The Bargain Hunters Thread - http://www.christopherwardforum.com/vie ... =8&t=27963
Just my two pence worth.

Re: CWF Cool Wall
Maybe Chris Evans can make the cool wall cool again, or what about a 'Freak or Unique" wallBahnstormer_vRS wrote:Appreciate the idea but even Top Gear dropped the Cool Wall.
I read the threads that scooter posted above when it was tried 4 years ago, it seems it was specific to CWL watches and overly complicated with multiple voting options. I was thinking something a lot simpler, with specific and generic threads. Eg 'Nato Straps' - cool or un-cool, or 'Handwind' - cool or un-cool.
Maybe if/when the forum software is updated, there could be functions in all threads to allow registered users to 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' specific threads. However, I appreciate the cool wall idea is currently un-cool. Thanks for listening
