Forum LE Pricing Information

Post by joerattz »

For those of you WAITING PATIENTLY for the pricing information, I have received it from Chris. Hans is away on vacation right now and asked me to post the information once it was available.

So that I don't introduce any errors, I am pasting it in verbatim, with the exception of personal information removed. Enjoy!
sorry for the delay...I've been wrestling with the movement suppliers and the price is increasing all the time for your information...the expected hike in eta prices is expected to be around 40% for 2008 and supply is getting tighter and tighter...but don't worry we have these secured :)

I can confirm we can do a LE of 100 pcs.... 50 pcs this side of Xmas (mid November)...and 50 pcs in the spring

I can confirm the blue pigment superluminova can be added to the Lume and we will progress on the basis of this

I can confirm all the details as per Hans request and the engraving etc etc and will be with eta 2824-2 rhodium finish

The price if bought with Rubber Strap will be £220 incl VAT and shipping (non EC = £187.23)(US$ =x2 approx)
The price for the steel bracelet will be £250 incl vat and shipping (non EC = £212.76) and the middle portion of the bracelet will be IPK finish in Black....

The process has started this side.

Hope that's ALL ok...best I could get

regards Chris

my graphic artist is a way on holiday now...but as soon as hes back we'll knock out some decent photos/illustrations for you

I will also set each watch at 55 % power to +/- 3 seconds per day individually before shipping.... obviously the end accuracy will depend on the amount of wear over time...but at least it will leave here as good as a chronometer :)

Wow, I think the fact that he is going to set every watch is very exciting.

Great News !!! So what is the next step? Do we do nothing now but wait for a request for payment since our reservations are in? This is what I assume, that more details will be forthcoming as we get closer to November.

I would recommend you make your checks payable to Cash, and mail them to my home address. I will take care of them for you.

Well, that IS good news. The price for the watch with the steel/IPK bracelet is about what I expected.

I'm hoping that the invoice will bide at least a couple of week's time - I already paid Chris that same amount this month, so my watch budget for July and August is sort of depleted. :mg:

Don't hold your breath - you'll probably find that, when the watch runs in, you'll loose some of that precious accuracy. The good news is: when you have it re-regulated after it has ran in, it'll retain its accuracy for many years to come.

Well, that is good news indeed. :)

Can't wait for my first CW's! :D

What isn't such good news is this business with the ETA movements. :(

In the quote of Chris that I posted, I mentioned that I removed any personal information. He did also state, and I removed it because it was somewhat personal, that the ETA movements were already secured for the white Aviators coming.
