C60 Trident GMT MK3 Prototype #0000

Post by MiniMpi »

I picked up a gorgeous Prototype in the recent Exclusive CW Forum Prototype Sale.

C60 Trident GMT MK3 Red Bezel.
Flags logo in White which is also lumed and #0000 serial number.
Also has a matt dark grey dial compared to the usual glossy black version.
The Trident second hand is also the same as the MK2 style which is fuller and more stylized than the standard MK3 second hand.
The hour hand is slightly larger too.
Some new information I received last night is that the case also is slightly different !
The sides are more scalloped kind of like the C65 case.

The watch is in mint condition !
Very very happy with it.
I'll get a bracelet for it at some stage I reckon.

Photos below including some great comparison photos given to me by a CWE member who purchased the watch in the January sale but returned it as it was at a higher price in that sale and he decided to go for a standard C60 GMT MK3 instead.
He took photos of the two together before returning the Prototype. (Prototype is on the right in the comparison photos)

The subtle differences certainly make your watch special. I wonder why CW chose the production model over the prototype. In particular the case and the white flag which to me completes the design. Can’t have been a cost factor.

Ferg, it’s an excellent addition to your collection.

Stunning, Ferg.
The case sides looks a lot slimmer on the prototype..is it just the bevelled edges ?

Excellent pickup Ferg, you’re possibly the best person to get hold of a beauty like that. It will fit into your fabulous CW collection nicely.

Just an optical illusion in that they are the same height just that the sides are beveled differently as you said.

That's great that it's more unique than just a couple of the dial elements. Excellent addition!

I prefer the sculpting of the prototype going from the photos alone. Would be interesting to see on the wrist comparisons (side on shots) between the production MK3 case and this prototype case if you get the chance please Ferg.

Sadly the standard GMT MK3 wasn't mine and I've since sold my C60 Pro MK3.....

It's okay Ferg, you're not getting away with it. :D
Side-on of yours on the wrist and if another member could then add a similar MK3 GMT comparison shot once Fergs done, that'd be swell.

All in the name of love and curiosity.
