Trident MK3 Bronze Ombré COSC

Post by Aresjab »

There were some requests for pictures of the bronze ombré, here are a couple more. I took them in different lighting, a couple inside at my desk and a couple in the sunlight while parked.

Really nice pictures and watch. I was torn between this and C65 although I see they put up the C65 for a couple of days and now its gone again off the website. I may be tempted to go for the C60 like yours now :-)

I personally like the C60 look better. I’m not a fan of the domed or bubbled look of the C65. Just a personal preference of mine. This is the highest quality watch I’ve ever owned by a mile. I would definitely recommend it in the black hybrid strap. I originally bought it with the distressed leather strap but sent the strap back as it doesn’t match the color on the website at all. Very light tan with some dark spots.

I would definitely recommend the C60. A lot of the differences between the two come down to personal taste. I’m not a fan of the domed sapphire personally. I much prefer the flat sapphire with a bevel cut on the C60. The domed look does do great for what the watch is trying to accomplish with a more vintage feel. The only watch I have seen with domed sapphire that I really like is the Junghans Max Bill https://www.junghans.de/en/collection/ ... -bill/?p=2 I can’t really explain why, but there’s just something elegant about how simple that watch is.

I think it's just a matter of personal preference. I had a blue c60 bronze which I sold, but considered buying back, and an ombre might be the right option for that. I also have a c65 vintage handwound in blue. I think this is a lovely design. So I think.the choice between c60.and c65 might just come down to personal preferences between dial colour and material, and hand design, because they are both great. For instance, I am not that keen on meteorite dials, but many may be.

After staring at these online since inception I pulled the trigger last night and justified the purchase with my personal on deck justification of you're a long time dead. I awoke this morning to find a dispatch notice in my inbox.

So now impatience has kicked in.

Thanks for the pictures, very nice watch. Can anyone confirm if the MK3 has sapphire glass? There is no mention of this in the technical specifications and in the user manual unlike all other models of the brand. Maybe an oversight?

You’re right, I’m not sure why the product page makes no mention of the crystal material. But it is definitely sapphire. I’m pretty sure all CWs have sapphire crystals.

The full details do say sapphire crystal in the archives:

I wish the bezel matched the dial of this one, that worn brown look is great.

Lovely looking watch. Gutted to have missed out on one last week as a NN.

Is that the hybrid rubber strap... or the hybrid canvas? (I'm thinking rubber)
