I've gone too far with orange on the Super Compressor.

Post by NeverStark »

I bought this strap actually thinking I'd feel ridiculous about it. . . . But you know what? I like it. For the right situation, it's perfect. Like. . . signaling for assistance on the side of the road. . . or guiding an aircraft to the gate.

Also, yeah - I've got the pillows to match.

Canvas strap? It will fade quite quickly. Whether that's a good thing is for you to decide. Handy for the dark nights until then.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

It’s definitely a bold combination! If it’s canvas, the fading over time might look pretty cool.

Orange is my favourite colour - and this isn't close to being 'too far'.
Orange taken too far is when it makes you grind your teeth, or when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, or you can't take a deep breath in, or you develop a tremor in one or both hands.... Orange too far makes you queasy. You've nailed this one

Is this the pumpkin orange Barton strap? I've been tempted for my Hornet but it doesn't look right in their pictures...

Hey Jon, this is the Tangelo Orange strap from Archer. I wrestled with that choice, too.

Glad to be of service! I'm liking the two straps I've received from them so far. I think the leather one will spend the most time on the watch.

FYI - I just replaced the image in the original post. . . in retrospect, it was oversaturated. I think it better represents real-world colors now.

I quite like that. You've made me go and order one now! It'll be a nice bit of variety from the steel bracelet from time to time.

I am not that big on orange, but that combo looks spectacular. Great job Lindsey.

Orange is in! I like your strap too. The canvas gives it a different look. I wear mine on the Orange Tiber quite often.

The Mai Tai ADPT NATO from W&W is also good! They have a new Rust colored one that I should grab too.
