The C65 Trident GMT always in the right light...

Post by ShaunMcGill »

The C65 Trident GMT looks so different depending on the lighting conditions. It 'never' looks bad, ever.

That second pic is quite dramatic! The C65 Trident GMT is a fantastic watch. And you’re dead on about the lighting. The Pepsi version isn’t my favorite among the two colorways, but some forum members consistently post amazing pics of their Pepsis that make my want to reach for my wallet.

We were sent the Pepsi in error and then the Black arrived a few days later. For me the Pepsi bezel looked too thin and the dial too sparse, but that's just my personal view- guess we can't help what we like.

The Black taught me how much needs to go into watch design; form, colours, material etc- one part can make all of the difference. The brightness of the hands in the black version stands out against the dial when in low light and the vintage lume adds much more warmth. The consistency of the bezel against the case just tops it off for me.

I love this watch. It's been in and out of my basket all weekend. Lol I'm torn at what watch to buy. I enjoyed your review linked from another thread and your podcast on mechanical watches I listened to this morning. Some wise words there 👏
