C65 Trident Diver 316L LE #271/316
I finally got this fabulous watch.
I've wanted it since it was released but other watches always seemed to get in the way of me getting it till now. I picked it up in the sale and I couldn't be happier !
The differences from the standard C65 Trident Diver Handwind are really lovely and make a big difference to me anyway.
It has fully applied indices and numerals and it really makes the watch this small feature especially when the light catches the indices etc.
Of course the amazing metallic Yellow dial is the stand out feature and it changes it's hue a lot depending on the type of light available.
It's on the black vintage oak strap which I believe is the best strap for it as it emphasizes the wonderful dial. I personally don't think it looks well on the bracelet as there is just too much silver going on with the bezel.
Looking forward to years of enjoyment with this one.

I complete agree about the bracelet. I bought one of these on a bracelet, just in order to have a QR bracelet. I put the QR bracelet on the blue c65 handwinder where I think it looks much better, and have the yellow on a leather strap. Black and camel both look good.

I didn't realise, until now, that it had applied markers etc. Top notch.
Definitely a cut above the regular Trident Diver.
I know you hankered after this for some time Ferg. Glad you were able to get it before it was too late.

I get the impression that this is a watch pics just can’t capture. It looks fantastic, but I imagine in the metal it looks orders of magnitude more impressive. Congratulations on a great acquisition

Another brilliant Ferg incoming! The applied indices are a game changer on that watch

Great choice.
I picked up the same watch in the sale as my second CW and only my third watch after nearly pulling the trigger numerous times with 15% offer or the £100 voucher. I was planning to pick one up in March so was surprised and disappointed when it was removed from listings. So didn’t hesitate when it popped up in the sale and despite the fact the wife was not happy when I broke the news (why do you need more than one watch?) I couldn’t risk losing the opportunity to pick one. At at half price I’m so glad I was patient. Just got think of a reason to justify watch no 4 when the time comes

It wasn't so much that the yellow LE has applied indices - it was more that until I read this thread, I didn't realise there was a difference and that the standard version doesn't have them. I noticed the steel bezel insert, compared with the blue on the blue version. I also noticed the blue one has a smooth dial, but the LE has a lustre/texture to the finish, like the texture you would see on a very fine emery paper.

It's lovely isn't it... you're right, those applied markers and the texture on the dial are really stunningJAFO wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 1:52 pm It wasn't so much that the yellow LE has applied indices - it was more that until I read this thread, I didn't realise there was a difference and that the standard version doesn't have them. Room for one more in this (ever) increasing little club... after mixup during the first sale day, I finally got one (thanks CW) on a bracelet and couldn't be happier. This pairs nicely with my C65 Black Gold
I suspect I will be moving into onto one of my black oak leather straps though later today, as I think it will suit it more for winter wear

I did eventually fit a bracelet to this beautiful watch and even though I initially thought it wouldn't suit the bracelet, it actually looks better !!
Here is a recent photo of it.

Just seen this last post from you Ferg. Glad you actually like it on the bracelet. I switch mine between a black Tropic for Summer and the bracelet for Winter. Each time I swap around, I think it’s an improvement. I guess it’s just a lovely watch?
