C65 Super Compressor....Black Sand

Post by PaulCTR »

Hi all,

Newbie here got my first CW this weekend lovely watch. I do have a question with regards to the Super Compressor text.

I noticed mine seems to be more aligned then alot of the ones ive seen in here, I expected it to be one of the 'leftie' ones since I got it in the sale so pleasantly surprised.

I purchased on a bracelet but I think this strap suits it alot more.

You have been lucky, the text looks perfect. I really like your strap, great match.

Thanks it's a Zuludiver sail cloth quick release.

Really happy with the watch, initially fancied a blue but was worried it was a bit too 'loud'.

"I'm going to buy this watch with a reputation for a dodgy dial. Maybe my grandchildren will pop up on Antiques Roadshow in the year 2121 and talk with excitement about this rare watch with a defect which collectors go mad for" in the hope that the great grandson of Arthur Negus declare it worth at least £5000 in the new binary bitcoin currency.

Only to find that in the great Covid-19 sale of 2021, all the dials were spot on!

Watch collecting is hard don't you find? Truth is I looked at mine and couldn't see the microscopic defect in textual alignment.

Welcome aboard. That's a great watch to start with. The text does look a bit left aligned but I think the reality is that it's hardly noticeable unless magnified several times. I'm sure that they are must all be the same, it's just the photo angle that makes them look different? On my C60 I can't even READ the text at normal distances.
Sadly, printing errors only make things more valuable if you collect stamps.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left
