A very reassuring photo, nearly identical to the C700 shot - albeit the gears in your movement appear steel rather than brass?
I think the two pictures are showing different parts of the movement. I just checked my C40 and it certainly has some brass (or brass coloured) gear wheels. A lot of the components are polished, and it is far more attractive than my picture shows. With the blued screws and polished components, it looks great. I have another 7750 from another watch manufacturer and the finish is very similar.

I'm not now that I got your picture
But the exhibition back is a huge part of the appeal for me, and consequently the appearance of the movement (even if it's not decorated) holds great significance - and the movement in that official C40 image did not bode well. Thank you for calming my nerves

...I'll count it a blessing should I be less "fortunate" ...personally I've always considered perlage hideous and brings to mind only such aesthetic objects as:
Various vintage Heuers
CW C8 Pilot MK I and II, 2011 and 13 FLEs, C5 B of B and Malvern Aviator MK II, C11 MSL MK I, C70 DBR1, C60 and C60 GMT, C9 Harrison, C9 Chrono, C10 Aviator
Geneva stripes and Perlage - beautiful decoration, IMO, just another part of the craftsmanship that goes into watchmaking and makes these small objects so desirable.
I'm new to the forum and think I am about to buy my first Christopher Ward watch. Do the C700 still come with the eta 7750 or have they now been changed to the sellita movement?

Many thanks.

Best to contact customer service to get an accurate status. The Eta 7750 arrived before the Sellita movements did so production was started with them. The website still shows the 7750 movement so I would presume that these are still available. Check to be sure if it really matters to you.

Thanks for that. I haven't been collecting for too long but I have wanted to add a watch with an eta7750 to my small collection. Will give the folks a call tomorrow.
