I am confused.
Are all prices going up 30% or just the C5 ?

30% that is outragous whatever way you look at it.
And could be a mistake, given CWs selling strategy people will start looking elsewhere looking for true value again.
Glad i got in early .I was looking to buy another CW after 6th March(birthday)And depending on how generous people are £150-200.Would have put me in for aC7 maybe, if that is increased i would definatly be looking around and the german mades seem to be good value.
Will CW be a victim of its own success I hope not.

Well, the official word was
If there’s an easy way to tell you we are increasing many of our prices by around 30%* from Monday 2nd March I don’t know it - so rather than hide behind the sofa and hope you don’t notice (fat chance, eh?) I thought it would be better to at least advise you beforehand so you, our most valued supporters, have at least an opportunity to take advantage of the current prices should you be considering a purchase in the near future.
I think if you need watch by watch specifics then you'd be best off emailing Wera (@christopherward.co.uk).

Apparently only prices in Sterling are affected, so I'm guessing the USA site will be staying at the current prices!

I ,personally, think that a 30% increase in prices will result in a significant hit on sales. At that price range you are directly competing with some very good brands.
Of course i could be wrong....hopefully!
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

Taking the C5 as an example, £250 for a Swiss Made automatic still isn't too bad really? Interested to see what kind of prices the likes of the C8 climb to.

Is this a direct result of the Swiss move I wonder ?
I wonder if they will get an office in Mayfair as well.?
Does this mean they have moved a step closer to the big hitters.?
Am I rambling?

30%, my reaction to reading that was smilillar to Gene Wilder's in Stir Crazy when he was handed a 120 year prison sentence, WHA, WHA, WHA! That is a big one and no mistake, but, the email does state
..because we have a simple and consistent approach to margins:
COST PRICE + A SMALL MULTIPLE
(apart from diamond watches where the multiple is even smaller) when the cost prices
come down, so will our prices, and that’s a promise!

So I guess that can only be a good thing, unless of course you've just a two weeks before the price drop.

There's a page up detailing the price increase now: http://www.christopherward.co.uk/conten ... crease.htm

I say detailing, but it still only gives the same C5 example. A sample from each model might have been of use?

So shall I suppose the new price for a yellow C6 should be somewhere around 190 instead of the 145 now?? :(

My C1 arrived yesterday and doesn't it look fine! Very, very pleased with the rose gold. I was going to get one sometime; now, let's see if I have saved much as well...UB.. :)
