Guy,

The answer regarding the MkI in January was that there weren't any available, so I bought a MkII.

I now await a response from Wera to see if I can get one of the MkI's.

In January there were none available.

Some of these have come from the factory where they were able to build some watches with parts that have become available from inventory and just recently arrived in Maidenhead.

Thanks, Kip.

So some of the watches in the Last Chance sales might be described as custom built specials; that gives a comforting feeling about buying one.

Thanks Kip,

Great chance to get a watch that wouldn't be available normally.

@ Kip. I would be interested to know the case numbers of the C70MC & C5 COSC. As these were limited number run watches. I would have thought it would be known how many were made. I expect extra parts would be made, but if assembled in to watches the production runs could be exceeded. Could be un-numbered I suppose. Just curious, nothing more. :D

I have no idea regarding the serials other than no limited runs shall be exceeded. Some of these are pieces that failed original QC and/or returned to the factory. Seems that they were shelved, recently rediscovered, brought into proper spec and sent to Maidenhead.

I am intrigued - what is going on at the factory that means they have time / inclination to build / rework these old watches?

I would have thought they would be busy getting the C61 through to the sales team :?

Maybe I am just over thinking this

Being a newbie here - its certainly a good way of geting rid of old stock - great that they give the CWL forum members first dibs before they go on general sale.
