Tide vs C60 Pro height
Tide vs C60 Pro height
Happy Saturday!
I've seen on the CW site that the Tide is about 0.7mm thicker than the 42mm C60 pro (~5%). Does anyone have a theory for why that may be? Is the crystal more domed on the former, or perhaps the bezel smaller?
Interesting to see a difference as lug to lug is the same.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
The C60 crystal is flat, regardless of model.
Most likely difference in height will be due to different case back design.
The #tide has a # motif and tide material insert, compared to the regular embossed caseback of the standard C60.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
Thanks both. So on the pro 600 does the crystal also stand proud of the bezel? It does on the #tide (which I got last week) so I was speculating that this was the diff.

Yes.
The C60 crystal is flat, and stands slightly proud of the bezel, regardless of model.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
At first I thought the same as you, but on closer inspection the C60 Pro has a deeper bezel which accounts for the difference in height. To the naked eye the casebacks are similar in thickness.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sat Sep 25, 2021 7:21 pm The C60 crystal is flat, regardless of model.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
I’ll do a side-by-side comparison tomorrow, either way the difference is marginal hence not really taking much notice.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 12:31 am ^^^^ Except the OP writes that the #tide is the thicker watch.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
As promised, not the best photograph but….
The difference between the the Pro (left) and the #tide (right) is marginal to the naked eye. The Pro has a deeper bezel and the #tide has a fractionally thicker caseback. I think much of the #tide design we will see on the on the MK4.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
Hi Richard - thanks so much for going to the trouble of doing that. The proportions are definitely different even if the overall difference isn't. I guess the main change for mk4 is more the logo and date positioning respectively. Have CW confirmed somehow that the Tide will be the template for mk4?

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
Far from it.
I feel that is purely wishful thinking / speculation on Richard's part (his comment is prefixed with "I think . ." after all).

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
Happy to have helped.
Nothings has been said by CW, it’s only my thoughts based on how well the C60 #tide has been received. Feels like it’s a winning design.

Re: Tide vs C60 Pro height
Yes, it's a beauty. But feels chunkier than the C60 pro I had previously (bought and returned) hence my questions.
