Too much bezel play? | C60 Elite 1000 (video)

Post by Geefiasco »

Hi All,

Just received my new C60 Elite 1000 today after returning one a couple weeks back due to a silly amount of bezel play.

This new one still has bezel play, but not as bad as the last. Do any of you guys that own the same watch experience a similar amount displayed in the video below?

My Trident MKII and MKIII surpisingly have a tighter play than the Elite.

^^^ When I got my Sealander GMT I spent ages trying to turn the bezel. Then I realised it was fixed.

Whilst I don't own that model it looks fine to me.

You are likely to be able to push it one way before a click and then back. I'd rather have some loose movement in it so that it is easier to turn rather than have to use excessive force like some watches out there.

Have to admit it looks OK to me, just the tiniest rock. I’m not sure you could call that play…could you?

I've checked over and compared my eight C60 Tridents (7 Mk3, both regular and Elite level, and 1 Mk2, Bronze GMT LE), plus I have owned several other Mk3s including a C60 Elite LE and Elite GMT, and whilst there are subtle variations in the feel and movement of the bezels they are in general very much on a par with yours in the video.

I feel that, if you want an easy turning, sweet sounding bezel at the price point occupied by CW, you need to accept a small, minimal amount of play.

Alternatively, if you want a tight, zero play bezel which you almost need a pair of molegrips to turn, then buy a Damasko (I've owned a DK15).

Ultimately though it all boils down to expectations and standards. It doesn't matter what we think; if you are not happy with it, send it back under the 60/60.

It’s fine

Pretty much every twisty bezel i have had had some play.
As long as it is smooth then happy days. It is easy to overthink these things and look for stuff that really does not matter. I’ve done it myself enough times

My blue le has some play but the silkiest movement ever so that’s fine
Cheers now, Paul

Thanks for taking the time to do that Guy, really appreciate it.

I appreciate all the other responses to this thread as well. It’s put my mind at ease as I did expect a super tight bezel but now know the bezel isn’t faulty.

Cheers!
