Loupe thread

Post by Richard D »

I must admit I have kinda lost touch as to what CW is doing these days, although I do pick up a few ideas here on the forum my main source has been their magazine and visits to No:1 Park Street. Visits I’m hoping to resume from next week, dangerous because I’ve never come away without a watch.

I’ve always found the magazine reads interesting even the none related watch articles. The photography used has always been first class as has the insight into the people involved in the brand.

I’ve every copy since I discovered CW back in 2005, a year after the company was formed. A family member sent me a small cutout from the Maidenhead Advertiser of a picture of Chris Ward in a white workshop coat introducing his new watch brand. Since I have looked forward to the CW magazine hitting my door mat.

Any thoughts on what issue 22 of the Loupe my contain, any surprises? For me I would love to see a nod towards a new C60 with a SH21.

The only thing we might see is info on the special C60 due in Autumn. Apart from that, I know nothing.

However, I'd hope to see more on some new releases and especially C65 variants/ developments. Fingers 🤞

No idea apart from the Concept watch. Maybe some details about extra colour schemes/sizes of the recent C63 range.

Admittedly, the whole sports watch thing is getting a little tiresome for me, so any hints of something new in the dress, pilot or anything else genres would be welcome news.

From that ad, those look like C60 curves. Could be ocean plastic too? Interesting.

^^^^ Now why would CW have this edition of Loupe guest-edited by Blue Marine Foundation’s co-founder Charles Clover.

CW have just updated the range of #tide straps and announced that £5 from the sale of each one will go to BMF.

Maybe another LE?

Hmmm looks like a white sapphire GMT. An interesting addition for sure.

EDIT: Just noticed the date at 6 too.

All I can say is I’ve requested a copy. I’m always interested to learn what’s going on with Christopher Ward. It’s become an expensive interest. :)

Guessing an SW330-2 movement and the demise of the logo at 9 too.

Loupe issues used to be available to download but I can't find them on the site. Has online access been removed, or can anyone provide a link to it? TIA
