Anthropocene LE Back on the Site

Post by rkovars »

Just did a C65 search on the CW site for something else and the Anthropocene LE is back for sale on strap. Interesting....

I loved this when it first came out and had hoped for a non-LE version. That’s essentially what the C63 GMT is, with a stainless bezel instead of the black, which I think looks much better!

Ooh, interesting. I’d have thought they’d sold out. When I bought mine at its release there was a forum rumour that there were only 29 left.

All the same, it’s a great watch and fits very nicely in my collection

I have a c63 gmt in white coming in any day now. I really like the look of this, and wanted to search for one back when i didn't think I could easily pick one up. Now that I actually have the option, I'm really struggling to decide whether there's room for both in my collection.

They both have the black and orange 4th hand. So, with the Anthropocene landing first, the blck and orange hand on the white Sealander really was a design choice.

Personal choice and all that, but I couldn't justify both in my collection. So I have the Anthropocene and Black C63 GMT

The Anthropocene is such a great watch! I wonder how many of this LE are in stock? It’s surprising to see them available again.

It really is a lovely watch. I think I prefer it to the C63 GMT, not leat because of the bigger size. I can't believe that 300 units didn't sell out! It would have been nice to have a bidirectional bezel, and a screw down crown might have given a little added water confidence. Also, I wonder why it doesn't appear to be being offered on the bracelet?

As I look at photos, I think I much prefer the black hands and black outlined batons of the Anthropocene to the gunmetal of the C63. Combine the Anthropocene dial with the stainless bezel of the C63, and it would be perfect.

The batons are more gunmetal thank black. If I could change one thing, it would be to have the batons black edged

Looking at the tikkathree photo on the bracelet that does appear to be the case, but how well does that work when the watch is worn on the bracelet.

Very true. My reference point is the camel strap I’m wearing. The bracelet does work well with the batons

Interesting. In looking at some of the Anthropocene phots, it looks like while the batons are gunmetal, there is an outline of black around the lume. Can anyone with an Anthropocene comment on the batons? Assuming that’s the case, it’s that black outline that I like. That, along with black hands, breaks up the monotony of the white dial.
