The Ombre Bronze Chronometer arrived today. The box and documents were...soggy, but the watch was fine. Maybe it was raining on the way to DHL in the UK? I was pleasantly surprised to see the Chronometer certificate completed for the specific movement in the watch! Most brands stopped doing that a long time ago. In fact, the closest you get these days is the METAS card that comes with Omega and Tudor Master Chronometers. It's a much darker and "red" colour compared to the Black Bay Bronze. The C60 Ombre is more like red or pink gold.

Lovely!

My MK2 C60 Bronze arrived today. Mine has some patina already although I'm pretty sure I got the "clean" version when I ordered it and my wife asked if it's rose gold so that's definitely true about the color.

It's a fine looking watch, the Ombrè! It would be interesting to hear your views when you've had the time to get acquainted with it proper. You sounded a little surprised by the colour of the bronze. I wonder if this will turn out to be a + or -. I think it's a great looking watch; I love the matt, fully lumed bezel.

Thanks—I rather like the current colour, fleeting though it may be. The only point of comparison I have in my current collection is the Tudor bronze, which is quite different. I also like the bezel. It looks similar to anodized aluminum without the potential for corrosion that exists when paired with a bronze bezel.

Just fabulous @JeremyS! Well played sir.
I simply haven't seen a bronze watch from ANY maker I prefer to this C60 Bronze Ombre.

Sadly my skinny wrist can't quite cope with it. A 40mm please, CW! In an instant...

It is definitely a stunner, especially once the patina has developed!

I don’t have large wrists, either. I’m just at 7” or a hair above 18cm. I think the shorter case and lugs work well, sort of like what Omega did with the Planet Ocean Master Chronometer. Definitely not a small watch, but manageable. I think there’s a 40mm version available from CW with an Ombré blue dial and a solid bronze bezel insert.

Oh—that’s a great pic! I’m easing into this whole patina thing. That is, how quickly it forms, the extent, ease of removal, etc. I figured a watch with a CuSn6 bronze case would get me there quicker than my Tudor. Fresh bronze is so…pretty. It might be harder to let go than I thought. But, your pic looks cool. Is that as dark as you’ve let it go, and how long have you let it marinate in normal wear?

I've had it for about 3 months now, the patina was gradual but has developed quite fast, though it is a daily wear for me. I'm happy to let the patina continue and see how it looks, but I may reset it if it becomes too uniformly dark matt bronze. The appeal of the patina for me is the random markings of patina that looks different all over, giving it that aged look.

For me it's the best bronze watch on the market, I do love it but if I was able to change anything I would add the hands from the MKII bronze, remove the word mark at 9 and have absolutely no polished areas on the dial so it isn't so flashy in the light, I think the polished details detracts from the aged distressed look.
