Hi,
Was thinking about watches again and getting a C1 moonphase the Grand Malvern I thought.
Te thought If I changed my name to Christopher Ward then it'd be like getting free name engraving . If it turns up in lost and found, which watch is yours the one with my name on it Christopher Ward that's me .
I'm joking of course and a rather drastic solution to the logo problem.
Cheers All,
Still like my Black Trident C600 GMT old style Chr Ward logo.
Amusing thought anyone changed their name to Christopher Ward?

My daughter-in-law’s maiden name is Ward. In her extended family there are a fair few Christophers, none have any interest in watches. In fact, when I have shown them a CW from my collection it’s been greeted with a big NO.

Didn't one of the comedians change their name to Hugo boss or something like that owing to a bit of a confrontation?

I remember an old lag in my home town forever being called before the beak at the local Magistrates Court for one misdemeanour after another.
We will call him Kristopher Warder for the sake of this post.
On one occasion about 45 years ago it was reported that Kristopher was accused by the Magistrate of showing the Court gross contempt.
A few months later our local paper ran a story that he had changed his name by Deed Poll to Kristopher Gross Contempt Warder.
I think it made the whole town smile at the time.

There is, or was, a member of the forum whose actual name was Christopher Ward. But I can’t for the life of me remember what his username was!

I changed mine to Chr Ward, then went full on Christopher, but only write it on the left side of my face.

I'm already half way there. The rest seems like a lot of trouble though....
The idea of "I'm so into watches an English company named itself after me" I'm torn about. Appeal or Yeck? Dunno.
So I'll stick with what I've got.

I actually seeked out a watch with my Surname on, and gifted it to my Daughter.
Now I'm a bit more interested in the inner workings of watches, I might grab it back to see what's inside.
My dad's initials are CW, so the first CWs obviously would suit him, but he's happy with his current watch.
Regarding my own personal choice.
I quite fancy a watch, with the Ying Yang/Pisces/69 symbol in Black and white at 12.
As I was born in March 1969, it's the symbol I relate to most.
Although Im not really into all that mumbo jumbo, typical Pisces !
Regards Steve

My name is actually pretty close to Christopher Ward. The running joke whenever people spot one of my watches is to ask if I had it personalised but they got the spelling wrong...
