Buying advice

Post by Dmclean156 »

Morning all.
I've seen a couple of pieces on eBay that I fancy, but I'm wandering if I'd be better waiting for any CW sale in June. What's everyones experience of the sale? Plenty of stock, lots of options, generous discounts? And, when are the sales?

No guarantees what will come up in a Sale or if there will be one. Some run out models and Nearly New items usually, discounts c.30% maybe 50% on older models. There's usually a £100 voucher off when Loupe magazine issued, not to be used on Sale items though.

Buy while you can with a discount code. As Stephen says above there are no guarantees about what will be in the sale, and you will be competing with the eBay hoover/scalpers who seem to be able to cream off the best pieces and put them up for sale at inflated prices.

The sale is great but it's first come first served and items go instantly. Be prepared to compromise, and you will get some great options. Really there's no bad CW watches, just some you like more than others.

Buy one at a time and checkout by PayPal to save time. Last time CW cancelled orders for people buying too many watches, so I wouldn't try to buy more than 3 or 4 in the sale.

Part of the trick with sales is timing. We don’t know when CW will launch a sale. January is expected. June/July? We shall see.

Does anyone know if there's a discount code useable now? I registered for Loupe a few weeks ago so not received the last version.

The C63 is on my buy list and my bonus has just come through so my mouse pointer is hovering over the buy button but not before the discount!

Edit: Nevermind, sorry, found it in another post.

I just had an email reminder from CW this weekend that 100LOUPE21 ( variants for sterling/dollars/euros) is still running.

I believe the codes are good through June 30th.
