Old school CW as you know Peter.
Right up my alley indeed.
I love how it doesn't try to "pay homage to" (read: emulate) anything (yeah, looking at you, Steinhart!). It's just being itself, and proudly so.
I need a "lume shot" of this.

Shows off an element of the C600, that I didn't realise until I got one, which is that whilst the lume is primarily Tritium tubes, the inner section of the hours and minutes hands, plus the seconds hand all have regular lume on them.
Hence they are brighter in your top photo.

I employed a little elbow grease last night to turn the bezel and lugs on this back to their original brushed finish, rather than the polished finish a previous owner had given them. Personally, I think it looks much better and more in keeping with the aviator style.
Hi Steve
I am also a previous offender who polished a C5 MK11 brushed case (to avoid OCD after a scratch )
I always pondered over returning the case back to its original finsh but was never quite brave enough
Your work looks great ..... out of interest how did you approach the re-brushing ?

I did it all with a scotchbrite pad and some masking tape. The polished look comes off quite easily. It's a lot more work to put it back!
