^^^And just to make your day, here's how to make them look better by getting rid of the white box (you didn't follow ALL the instructions). You could go into your post and try this as an edit (NB. The Edit button is the Pencil icon top right in your post.

Could I ask a final question that im not sure has been covered. When posting a picture I notice mine are rotated wrong. Do I need to edit the photo to the correct orientation in another package or on the PC first or is there some way to do it using the forum software?

Sorry for being a technophobe

This has been covered before and I believe the answer, to stopping your photo being rotated when 'attaching' and 'placing it in line' via the forum, is to crop it a shade from the original "in another package or on the PC first" (there's bound to be some photo editing software /App on your phone) before attaching it in the forum software (it can't be done via the forum).

PS> I can't offer first hand experience on this as I generally upload all my photos via TapaTalk.

So I take many pictures using my Sony mobile phone and then upload them to my PC.
More often than not, only a couple of the pictures are usable.
Anyway, what I do is, on my Windows based PC, open each one in Paint application and then:
  • Reduce the size of the image using the Zoom function in the bottom right hand corner;
  • Use the Select > Rectangular selection and drag across the picture to the part of the picture I want;
  • Use the Cut option;
  • Select File > New
  • You'll be asked if you want to Save the current file - Don't Save;
  • In the new window, select Paste;
  • Select Crop
  • Select Resize and reduce by Percentage (I usually start with 50% while "maintain aspect ratio")
  • Once completed, select File > Save As to save the file to a folder on your PC.
  • You can then upload the image into a thread using the Attachments tab > Add Files option.
