Just Kidding!
I do have a friend though, who could not live with this- he has serious watch OCD.

Re: Super upset with CW! GMT hand horribly misaligned
Oh dear, that's not out by much though.
The GMT hand can often get misaligned with a shock. Perhaps your package got shaken around a bit on its trip from CW Towers to La La Land.
A suggestion for you.
Reset the GMT hand to a different time zone, than the one you currently have it set for, then let it run for 3 - 4 hours placed down on a flat surface. Then see what the alignment is like. It may well self correct (it has done for me in the past).
Hope this helps.

Reading the thread title without the content of the post is generally not a good idea...

Re: Super upset with CW! GMT hand horribly misaligned
If the issue is not fixed by Guy’s suggestion, CW will sort for you. I currently have a mk3 GMT with misaligned hour hand and CW have taken back for repair. What’s more I bought this watch used and didn’t notice at first and yet they still honour the guarantee, can’t really get better than that and it’s part of the reason I come back for more!
So far the repair process has been super efficient and I am kept informed every step of the way, although I’ve been advised the wait is 8-10 weeks which is par for the course I think.

Is it just the angle or is the hour hand off a bit as well?

Re: Super upset with CW! GMT hand horribly misaligned
I sent mine to CW for misaligned GMT hand. They had it for four months. Sent it back with a badly misaligned hour hand. So I had to send it back in. Just got an email saying my new watch was on the way. I wonder if they gave up trying to fix mine

I remember this being mentioned on the forum, so I made it as clear as I could to check this after repair on the repair formWalterSMonaco wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 4:43 am I sent mine to CW for misaligned GMT hand. Seriously, is this difficult. Putting hands on a pinion so they are accurately set, and making sure the pinions and hands are fitting tightly enough.
Maybe GMT is tricky technically though. I presume the GMT hour must get adjusted by the movement, as it cant be achieved via the pinion can it?

Well I finally have my watch back after two trips overseas and six months out of commission. Happy to report both the GMT AND hour hand seem to be in perfect alignment
