New limited edition releases

Post by Bahnstormer_vRS »

Who's missed, or seen, this afternoon's unexpected new releases?

I must admit I hadn't. I've not been on the CW site since the weekend.

I had seen them yes, thanks to a heads up over on CWE.
I must say, I'm rather taken with the black version!

Yup.

Just those two. Black bezel is good.

I’m a bit miffed by this, to be honest. When I acquired my C65 AM GT LE, it was marketed as CW’s last quartz offering....apparently until it’s NOT their last quartz offering.

That being said, the AM GT LE was a much better buy, as it had more timing options and COSC certification!

The black bezel is nice, but I’m partial to the silver of my AM GT LE.

I think that’s a really good question. When the AM GT LE was released, I wondered if the limited edition nature of it was driven by two things - clear out some quartz movements and test the waters for a motorsport/chronograph version of the C65 case.

Maybe this additional limited edition release hints at motorsport models to come?

They need to work in their photoshopping skills.
I hadn't seen or heard of these.
Just popped over to the CW site and had both both images up side by side and, apart from the obvious bezel difference, I also noticed the difference in the top left (10 o’clock) sub dial counter :?

I still can't make my mind up which I prefer.
Also, get it on a bracelet and you can use the £100 voucher

Also, what's the difference between the C65 AM 1 VEV Special Edition and the C65 AM GT LE ?
(apart from some gumph on the bezel!)

Different movement with different timing functions (see Guy’s post further down the thread) and the AM GT LE came with a COSC certificate.

AM GT LE: 60 second/60 minute counters on the main dial; 1/10 second at 2 o’clock; 12 hour at 10 o’clock; running seconds at 6 o’clock

The new LE loses the 60 minute central counter and swaps 30 minutes for 12 hours at 10 o’clock and no COSC
The new LE still has the 60 minute central counter but in red.
