However I note that the user manual neglects to detail how the movement can be used for recording split times. It describes the basic stop / start chrono functionality only. Seems a strange omission for a "racing" chrono. The C7 IRR manual certainly went over it.
Per the CWArchives, it looks like the C7 IRR has a different movement, a Ronda 3540.D. Perhaps that explains it?

I agree though, one would expect split timing in a racing chrono. Maybe it’s there but just not documented in the manual.

I had the COSC version which had the ETA 251.233 and symmetrical sub dial layout.

Did you torch the dial first? And how long does it last?

The lug and endlink fitment is fantastic for a $600 watch. I can’t think of a better example of proper design and execution for even under $1000 except for $775 Halios, and this gives Halios a run for its money.

I don’t think CW is getting enough credit from the major critics. I know they give good reviews, but I don’t hear them paying attention to the details.

the light on my iphone for about 5-10 seconds I reckon. The initial glow soon fades as usual but that said I could clearly ready the time in darkness at 5.40 this morning which is a plus

My 1 VEV pointers were all spot on. Time is about 30 secs slow, will adjust later.

Adjusted bracelet according to number of links on my C65 diver. Didn’t work, had to make further changes. Half links would’ve been helpful.

Wow, that’s a lot better than I expected. It seems CW is picking up their lume game.
