Both good watches. Little to choose. I imagine you'll get a split of opinion. Always dangerous, asking others to do this.

My advice? FWIW, which one grabs by the S&Cs? Get that one.

You can always buy an Aquis. The C60 Blue is limited to 500 pieces, might as well pick one up while you can.

Then buy the Aquis later! They’re both good watches.

Based on VFM, it's hard not to recommend the C60 over the Aquis because on paper, the C60 is superior and there is very little between them quality wise.
Also, if you like a wide choice of off-the-shelf straps, the C60 has it in the bag.

That said, I personally prefer the more distinct design of the Aquis and love a sunburst dial.
The lugs are marmite, but in their defense, Oris make a fantastically comfortable bracelet and rubber strap.
There are also some top strap makers out there now who make very high quality custom straps for it.

You most definitely won't go wrong with either, but it's hard to ignore the price difference unless the Aquis really speaks to you more than the C60.

Being a tight Northerner, I would go for the C60. It is the CW forum after all.

I also think it looks fantastic.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Out of curiosity, what Aquis model were you looking at?

@widge34

What I do think is this. If you have a real itch for a particular blue Aquis, (eg the lake Baikal) or for a particular Seamaster, or a Planet Ocean, or even a genuine Submariner, then buying a less expensive near miss won't really scratch the itch, and you will keep coming back to it.

I would enjoy having an Aquis (a green one for me!) available in my collection, but although I really like it, I just can't say I like it enough to pay £1500 plus for it new. I have a few divers anyway, and I am more than happy with the choice I have.

I just looked though the CW C60 range. I definitely prefer the blue ones. I think the C60 blue trident limited edition with ceramic bezel is especially attractive, with the see through dial, and it's only £1000 on a bracelet, although I would rather have a see through case back. I would be happy with that as a great diver, and take great pleasure every time I put it on. I'm not sure which of the CW range have ceramic bezels, which may be an important consideration, as there are some other nice blue C60's as well. What wouldn't be good is to get that CW watch, but then every time I walk past a jeweller's window, to still be gazing at that blue Oris Aquis (or green for me), because deep down, that's the one I really wanted, the grail piece. The Oris Aquis is not my grail piece. It's a lovely watch, but it's not my grail piece.

I see Jura watches have that Aquis for £1600 less 10% at present. I am sure a few other dealers have similar offers on.

Can I ask why the aluminium bezel is putting you off?

I have a few watches with both types of bezel (aluminium and ceramic) and I'd be hard pressed to say which I prefer.

If you're after a blue watch, I'd suggest looking at the Aquis in person first.

I owned the same colour Aquis in 39.5mm, and I sold it because the dial appeared almost black the majority of the time.
That may be what you're after, but I wanted more of the gorgeous blue.
In truth, you only fully get to see it under artificial lighting or out in the sunshine.

There are plenty of lovely 43.5mm Aquis LEs like the Clipperton or Lake Baikal with brighter dials.

Purely because an aluminium bezel will scratch easier

Interesting. It is because of the blue dial

Lake Baikal pics if your interested to see.

I would say this. Which one do you keep spending more time looking at online. Either watch is a great pick. I have a C60 Sapphire and a C60 GMT. I love and wear both often. The Oris for me doesn't get as much wrist time due to the bracelet. I recently put it on Oris rubber for that reason....now the Oris rubber is brilliant....adjustable clasp and all.

The clasp on the C60 blows the bracelet clasp on the Oris away. Adjustability is something that has become a factor in my daily wears.

Here is why I get a watch:

When you wear one, do you constantly look at it and smile?

Do you wear it more than others?

If yes, that's the watch for you. ImageImage

Of course they are both lovely watches but if it was me ... I’d pick the oris, it is not as rare granted but an extremely handsome watch
