Empirical evidence and the experience of previous years suggest that, all things considered, it is not beyond the realms of possibility, or even probability, that a January sale will take place and, indeed, the lack of such an eventuality would inevitably prove to be a source of both demonstrable disappointment and extreme surprise to the majority of forum members.

Can more seasoned forum veterans advise whether the January sale is usually a way for CW to dispense with the final pieces of soon-to-be-discontinued models, or if it'll likely be a blanket discount applying to all their pieces, a bit like Black Friday?

From past experience the January Sale, for whom those subscribed to CW's mailing list are advised of a special preview (which then tends to be promulgated here on the forum), comprises;-

1. Nearly New pieces at the usual 30% off

2. End of line, models being retired, pieces as Clearance at up to 50% off, and occasionally

3. One off Archive models at varying discounts.

It is not the time for a blanket discount, which is considered a Promotion, rather than a Sale, and applied when deemed appropriate.

Final word, have your PC / Laptop / Phone readily available, along with funds to buy.

Hope that helps.

Good advice, to play in the sales game you have to be quick quick quick!

It is possible to pick up a great deal in the sale.... ...but if you miss out you will sometimes see pieces appearing on ebay a few days later where they will remain for several weeks before being returned under 60/60.

I would recommend any buyers to also request/order a returns pack, so if you don't like the watch or if it arrives faulty you are not left waiting weeks to return it.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.
