That’ll be you, then.
Walked into it. Perhaps I can explain to the missus I have a duty to the forum.
Actually...that'll be me! I've been looking for a 'stealth' for some time after seeing the email, the order was placed! With no other half to question the purchase, it's hopefully winging its way to me very soon!

Love the look of this, but not keen on the strap, would like it more on a bracelet

If you catch the light right, visibility on the Abyss is pretty good.

The hands and indices are normal brushed / polished finished, but then gunmetal pvd covered to match the case.

Thus, with the correct light they glint quite well.

Overall, the gunmetal pvd of the case, on top of the usual brushed / polished light catcher case is stunning.

It's a shade or two darker than the C60 Trident Pro titanium #1 but lighter than the charcoal of the C8 M2.04 Concorde LE.

If it was a black case (which it is not) it would be a total fail.

It's always a numbers vs cost game with new releases.

A gunmetal pvd bracelet will cost more than a steel one and need to be produced in certain numbers to make it viable.

If the sales of the Abyss are strong enough, and early order indicators are that they may be, and there is sufficient demand, then CW may well offer a bracelet in the future.

Certainly (a bracelet) would be of interest to me, as I prefer to wear my Dive watches on either bracelet or NATOs.

I don't know why but I'm really tempted by this. Looking forward to a few more real life, on wrist pictures and reviews.

Mine arrived today and I've very taken with it. I also have to say that I really like the new 'long box' packaging - very slick.

Congrats. That’s a great picture and a great looking watch. It looks very black compared to The pics from Bristol GTG. I assume you’re also able to get the contrast shown in the Bristol pictures? How are you finding legibility?

Looking good! How do you find the legibility and lume? I hope you're doing a full review soon!

I suspect that the above photo is more to lighting than a reflection of the true hue of the watch.

The bezel appears as a dark charcoal whilst the case is more gunmetal, with the chamfered edge being very prominent.

Legibility isn't the nightmare that I had feared and is clearly visible from almost every angle, even in low light, and a quick adjustment of the wrist position soon brings the hands into view in the event that the original viewing angle is less than ideal.

The lume is non-existent so far, despite my best efforts to induce any kind of output - hopefully this will improve once exposed to sunlight.

Daytona, thanks for the extra picture. Is the bezel edge gloss. Looks reflective in the picture...
