...C60 Sapphire. Not for me, but if you want a similar dial to a Sapphire that's considerably cheaper then it's worth a look. https://www.seikoboutique.co.uk/product-category/seiko-5-sports/skeleton-dial/ https://www.seikoboutique.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/SRPJ45K1.png https://www.seikoboutiq...

Re: Car insurance advice.
I know someone who was offered a low valuation on a Golf from esure - he went to the following company and the offer suddenly improved. https://www.motorclaimguru.co.uk https://www.motorclaimguru.co.uk/disputing-the-total-loss-value-from-your-insurance-companynot-agreeing-with-value Obviously all cl...

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
and also hard to justify it as a prototype given the only difference between this and the previous version was the logo.
I think it's a good watch, but I could never get on with it because you can't set the time precisely due to the seconds disc.

Re: July 2022 sale
I know it's a prototype, but was the C60 Chrono Pro ever £1630 on a rubber strap?
RRP price was always below £1500 from memory on a bracelet - had a look in the archive, but no mention of the RRP.

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Just looked at the sale site for the first time since yesterday afternoon. I wonder how many NN Aquitaines were added to the sale? Hopefully this will mean a few more Aquitaine pics cropping up in the CW of the day thread; to help forumites decide if the Aquitaine is worth a punt. Neil Potentially....

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
I suppose it’s all relative. 30-40% off is still 30-40% off, even if the base price has increased. It’s still a deal, just a more expensive deal now that prices have gone up. But it sounds like it’s fair to say the quality and craftsmanship of the watches has gone up too? I can remember going with ...

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Sure, but if - like me - you weren’t around for the olden days pricing these represent deals on what’s been available since I’ve been aware of the brand. $875 for the Aquitaine is pretty decent given its regular price. If I had a time machine I wouldn’t pay these prices, but then again I would prob...

Re: Fastest Finger on the Button
Having witnessed a few sales and bought a few watches over the years, I'm struggling to see bargains. I'm looking at the prices for the C60's which only a few years ago were £300 when on sale. Good for CW if the hype of the sale means they can have established the FOMO because it's a sale, but the r...

Re: F1 2022 Motorsport Thread
I agree the halo should be there, but they also need a way to detach it quickly in an emergency imho although I accept looking at the picture above, even if the halo did have a quick release it would've been difficult to get out given where the car ended up.

Re: F1 2022 Motorsport Thread
No need to worry about fires and the like. F1 safety has come a long way since the times of Senna. Des I'm sure Grosjean in Bahrain 2020 would disagree. It doesn't need to be the fuel cell, all it takes is for the brakes to catch fire and bodywork starts and a fire can easily take hold. I'm not sur...

Re: F1 2022 Motorsport Thread
Horrible accident for Guanyu, glad he appears to be ok with no spectators or marshalls injured.
I dread to think the outcome if he'd had a fire whilst wedged between tyre barriers, with the halo complicating extraction and a full tank of gas and a charged battery.
