Re: How do your divers look after diving?
I put them in a bowl of clean water with a drop of washing up liquid for an hour or so and then carefully rinse off. This is more about sunscreen than salt but neither should be left on a watch for long.

Re: C11 Extreme vs C1000
The pricing in the sales most likely reflects CWs efforts to reduce unsold inventory at that time. They are not a good gauge of market value now. My guess is that the C1000 and C11 weren't made in huge numbers and not a lot of them come up for sale. It's up to you to decide whether or not they repre...

Re: 2024 expectations
Developing an in-house chronograph is a matter of a few million swiss francs and four or five years development time. I doubt if CW have the scale financial or engineering-wise to do this. A chronograph module on the SH21 might be cheaper and quicker but is still a monumental task (and would not be ...

Re: Mike Pearson is CW's new American Brand Director
Mike was highly regarded when he worked for Bremont and has done a great job for Fossil/Zodiac in the states. In a very real way he became the face of Zodiac here. He got the brand into a lot of shops and has been a great spokesperson for Zodiac in the US and internationally by way of various podcas...

Re: Mike Pearson is CW's new American Brand Director
Mike announced he was leaving Zodiac but didn't say where he was going. This is a great move for Mike and CW.

Re: January 2024 Sale
I took a look but I bought two in last January's sale so my interest in this year's sale is muted. Still lots of good choices left though.

Re: Has anyone else seen…
This will be a standard release according to my local Omega boutique. It will be in short supply for a few months as the "I must have it first" crowd or VIP customers get their watches first. If you want one it's best to be patient or to be on a list already. By the autumn this should be i...

Re: CW 2023 Forum Watch of the Year
I am going to buck the trend. I see that The Twelve is well in the lead but, to me, it has one big strike against it. It is very derivative. When you break it down to its essence isn't it really just a steel integrated sports model? This makes me question what the long term viability will be once t...

Re: CW 2023 Forum Watch of the Year
Although I'm not a fan of the Twelve it was easily the most significant introduction of the year.

Re: Omega Spirate system, new Speedmaster Super Racing
And now the Super Racing is starting to arrive in Omega boutiques. Industrialising spirate seems to have been quite the challenge. I've been told that as of late October the total global supply of the Super Racing was just 20 watches. It is a great watch IRL though. I don't think it's ever going to ...

Re: How Do CW Do It?
I saw that review. Most of his comments apply to every other watch brand too. Where he has a point is that CW market value. It is. to quote Pete McConvill "in their DNA. They can't stop themselves." There's nothing wrong with this but the more successful trend now is to market luxury.

Congratulations.
If I were to have a Bel Canto as a daily then black on the bracelet would be my choice too. I'd wear the purple on the purple leather to bring some fun to parties.

Re: Online reviewers: why can't they cope with the C1 Moonphase?
Perhaps CW should have sent Jody a C63 Celeste. It's a much easier watch to understand. Far less whimsy and now with added indices. It's also smaller which will no doubt please the twiglet wrist brigade. The Celeste is the aventurine dial watch more people should look at and, maybe, buy but it has r...

Re: Online reviewers: why can't they cope with the C1 Moonphase?
The moonphase is a "marmite" watch. The design is challenging for some. The purity of the dial without indices is both its major selling point and its major flaw (for some). For me it is rather like the Bel Canto, a special occasion watch which is worn when appropriate. I know that YMMV ap...
