Re: Show your pet!

Thanks nic, he is settling in really well. He’s placid with humans and all shapes of other dogs. He’s started playing now that he’s feeling more settled, and he’s a total goofball! We need to work a bit now on him staying home alone, but he managed 15 minutes today with no chaos, and I think he’ll ...

Whatever - he looks great. I hope you're enjoying dog walking social life and that he has settled in nicely now.

Would be even more perfect if they could make watches with SH21 a couple of mm thinner.
That is true, but it's the autos where that is more noticeable and for a big chunky dive watch, no real problem.

Re: Buying a watch head only

I have to say I usually find OEM straps to be much superior in both quality and matching, so it's rare I'll change and I'd prefer to buy complete, not least so I get the OEM clasp.

CW on a roll. Both the blue and green are very tempting, so it's "good" that I'm strictly out of the market ATM!

I hope CW do cracking well with these two.

Re: C60 Trident Pro Chronometer SH21

Except for the light-catcher case, I too prefer everything about the mk2s, the mk3s look too "generic divewatch" IMHO. These SH21 versions are the pinnacle, but it was a great pity they were only available in the limited colour-ways otherwise I would have one myself.

Re: Dealing with Swiss boutiques!

I had not realised that AR coatings are that soft, though from experience, I avoid coatings of any description that could be subject to abrasion, no matter how hard or robust. Sooner or later wear will become noticeable and the only fix is to re-coat or replace if that is even possible. I do hope yo...

That's a top job Kip, considering what became a pretty big collection of suggestions. I too will be interested to see what emerges in due course. Many thanks!

This will be interesting to follow. The description does go into the re-casing, but maybe not as correctly as it should do?

Re: Buying on ebay - tips for a dummy

One other piece of specific advice, check ebay past sales for the item (or as close as you can get to it) when calculating what you should be paying - you can select this as a criterion when you do a search under "show only". You may be very surprised at what things actually sell for vs wh...

Re: 16cm Wrist Size - Mesh Bracelet

The CW Milanese is sourced from Staib in Germany and is available in three sizes 130, 150 & 170 mm, each being adjustable by about 2cm using removable links. CW only offer the 170mm size I believe (hence your problem) but worth a word with customer services to see if they can get the smaller siz...
